From digital scan to a checked fit
1. Examine and scan
The dentist evaluates the tooth, gums and bite before capturing a digital model when appropriate.
2. Design and fabricate
The team selects a design and material based on location, forces, appearance and the clinical plan.
3. Try in and adjust
Fit, contacts, bite, shape and shade are checked before treatment is completed.
What does “same-day crown” really mean?
For selected cases, scanning, design, milling and placement may happen during one scheduled visit. Not every tooth or material should be rushed. Infection, deep decay, possible root canal treatment, demanding esthetics or an extensive restoration may require a different timeline.
Same-day availability depends on the case and schedule. Call before assuming a crown can be completed that day.
